Samarkand hosted the fifth interdisciplinary scientific-practical conference of the Center for Public Law Studies of the Republic of Uzbekistan on “Public Interest and Obligations of the State”.

The event, organized by the Business Ombudsman of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the representative office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Uzbekistan, and several higher education institutions, was attended by leading experts of educational and research institutions of Uzbekistan and Germany.

Reports were read out, and discussions were held on public interest in Uzbekistan, Germany, and Russia and its protection in the administrative process, the concept of protection in administrative law, public interest as an obligation of the state in healthcare, training qualified personnel for social and medical services in Uzbekistan, biotechnology and national security. During the talks, an agreement was reached on developing the Uzbekistan – Germany program of measures to organize and conduct joint scientific information and analytical activities aimed at improving and developing the legal foundations of public administration in ensuring entrepreneurship and employment of the population.

The event included the presentation of the book “The Great Ruler and the Jade Block. Two German Historical Publications about Amir Temur”, prepared for publication by the Center for Public Law Studies of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the representative office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Uzbekistan.

“The book includes two articles about Amir Temur and the Temurid era written by German researchers”, said the translator of the book, Director of the Center for Public Law Studies Azamat Egamberdiyev. – The memoirs of the Bavarian warrior Johann Schiltberger, who lived in the XIV century and served first in the Ottoman Empire, then in the army of Amir Temur, as well as information about the jade block installed on the grave of Amir Temur, were presented.
