Deputy Minister of Agriculture Kakhramon Yuldashev met with Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of Georgia in Uzbekistan, David Kotaria, and Senior Counsellor of the Georgian Embassy, Irakli Kandelaki.

The parties discussed the further development of mutually beneficial cooperation in the agricultural sector and explored opportunities for implementing promising joint projects.

It was proposed to establish a working group tasked with developing new grape varieties, cultivating and exporting table and technical grape varieties, advancing livestock farming, identifying domestic animals, and improving the qualifications of specialists in this sector.

Special attention was given to establishing exchanges between professors and students from universities and research institutes, as well as joint efforts on sustainable agricultural systems, conservation of natural resources, reducing environmental impact, and adapting crops to climate change.

Following the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the upcoming session of the intergovernmental commission, which will take place as part of the Georgian Prime Minister’s visit to Uzbekistan, scheduled for February 20-22.
