Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov has met with the Charge d'Affaires of France to Uzbekistan Brice Roquefeuil.
The parties discussed the current state of multifaceted cooperation, the necessary measures to enhance it, as well as issues related to the implementation of joint projects and initiatives.
The parties discussed preparations for the 8th Meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the French Republic, which will be held on May 11 this year in Tashkent. The parties considered the agenda of the event, which includes a wide range of issues of cooperation in industry, energy, housing and communal services, tourism, transport, agriculture and other areas. A solid package of bilateral documents has been formed, the signing of which will ensure the implementation of major industrial and social projects.

It was noted that within the framework of the IGC, it is planned to hold a business forum, organized jointly with MEDEF International. It is expected to be attended by more than 50 representatives of large French companies and banks, as well as relevant ministries, agencies and private companies of Uzbekistan.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to establish close cooperation to enhance the bilateral partnership and fill the agenda of the upcoming events with practical content.
