On February 4, a meeting was held between representatives of the Agency for Space Research and Technology under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Embassy of France in Uzbekistan.

According to the Uzbekcosmos Agency, the parties discussed issues of further strengthening cooperation.

The main attention was paid to training, retraining and advanced training of personnel in the leading higher education institutions of France to further develop the space sector in Uzbekistan.

Director-General of the Agency for Space Research and Technology under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shukhrat Qodirov, informed the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Uzbekistan, Ms. Aurelia Bouchez, about the current state of cooperation with the National Centre for Space Studies (CNES) and Airbus Defence and Space.

He noted that Airbus Defence and Space and the Uzbekcosmos Agency are planning a joint implementation of a pilot project.

In turn, Ms. Aurelia Bouchez said that leading French companies such as Thales, Eutelsat are also interested in cooperation with the Uzbekcosmos Agency.
