Uzbekistan, Finland develop inter-parliamentary cooperation

A roundtable discussion has been held on “A new stage in the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation between Uzbekistan and Finland”.

The event was attended by the leaders of the inter-parliamentary friendship groups of Uzbekistan and Finland, Dilorom Fayziyeva and Kimmo Kiljunen, members of these groups, as well as the ambassadors of the two countries.

The parties exchanged views on the agenda of cooperation, primarily through parliaments and conceptual aspects of the Address of the President of Uzbekistan to the Oliy Majlis last year and the State Program “Year of Supporting Youth and Improving Population Health”.

The Finnish side was informed in detail about the achievements of Uzbekistan in 2020 and the priority tasks of the development of the country in the coming years.

The representatives of Finland noted the scale of the tasks outlined in the Address of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, highly appreciated Uzbekistan’s strong commitment to continuing the course of reforms, expressed readiness to assist Uzbekistan in the successful implementation of the transformation program.
