The State Inspectorate for Supervision of Quality of Education under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with members of the delegation led by the Director of the Finnish National Agency for Education Samu Seitsalo.

Views were exchanged on the organization of workshops aimed at increasing the capacity of the staff for the inspection of educational management, establishing cooperation between representatives of the education system of Uzbekistan and Finland, improving the process of Uzbekistan’s entry into the European higher education area by improving the quality of education and the assessment system, as well as to attract Finnish specialists to establish, in cooperation with the University of Helsinki, the activities of Uzbekistan – Finland Pedagogical Institute.

It is envisaged, among other things, the organization of the educational process with the involvement of Finnish specialists in education, the joint creation of educational and methodological literature, and holding of advanced training courses for employees of the education system.

Members of the Finnish delegation will stay in Uzbekistan until 9 September. It is planned to visit general education schools and several higher education institutions and participate in workshops on the process of organizing education.
