The Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov met with Ilkka Räisänen, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Finland to Uzbekistan.

A presentation was given on the large-scale work being carried out by IT Park Uzbekistan, the promising areas of development, and the results achieved in the export of IT services.

During the talks, the prospects for bilateral cooperation were discussed in detail. In particular, issues related to the development of digital communication policies between Finland and the countries of Central Asia, as well as the improvement of the regulatory and legal framework in this sphere, were considered. In addition, measures to strengthen cooperation with European partners, including Finland, France, and the Baltic states, were discussed.

The meeting also focused on creating decent job opportunities for young people and expanding their prospects in the IT sector. Views were exchanged on attracting Finnish companies to Uzbekistan, strengthening investment cooperation, and effectively utilizing the embassy’s potential in these processes.
