Training courses for customs officers have kicked off at the OSCE Border College in Tajikistan.

The event was attended by 27 women from 13 countries, including Portugal, Estonia, Georgia, Romania, Türkiye, Kazakhstan and Moldova.

OSCE Secretary General Helga Schmid attended the opening of the training courses.

The OSCE Border College for Senior Staff was established in Dushanbe in November 2009. Training courses for female managers working in the customs system have been held annually since 2014.

During the event, female customs officers of Uzbekistan met with the OSCE Secretary General.
