In January-August 2022, Uzbekistan exported 119.8 thousand tons of melons and watermelons abroad for $33.2 million, the State Statistics Committee reports.

This year, the export of melons and watermelons increased by 50.1 thousand tons (by 71.8%) compared to the corresponding period in 2021.

Countries to which Uzbekistan exported the most melons and watermelons in January-August of this year are Kazakhstan (53.6 thousand tons), Russia (26.9 thousand tons), Kyrgyzstan (19.9 thousand tons), Tajikistan (12.2 thousand tons), Latvia (2.4 thousand tons), Belarus (2.3 thousand tons), and other countries (2.4 thousand tons).
