In 2021, the share of fruit and vegetable products in total exports amounted to 5.8 percent or in value terms over $957 million.

According to the State Statistics Committee, the volume of exports of fruit and vegetable products amounted to 1,521.8 thousand tons. There is a decline rate of 5.1% compared to the same period in 2020. 799.2 thousand tons of vegetables worth $403.6 million were exported, as well as 325.4 thousand tons of fruits and berries ($280.6 million).

Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and China became the main export markets for fruit and vegetable products. The largest volume of exports (in value terms) falls on Russia (30.5 percent of the total volume of fruit and vegetable products), which exceeds the volume of exports to China by 2.6 times.

Last year the total number of exporting entities amounted to 6547, and the volume of exports (excluding gold) was $12500.8 million (an increase of 34.4 percent compared to the same period in 2020).
