From January to August, almost seven thousand tons of pepper worth $6 million were exported from Uzbekistan to 19 countries.

According to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, pepper exports decreased by 2,900 tons. The most pepper was exported to Kazakhstan (4,400 tons), Kyrgyzstan (866 tons), Russia (599 tons), the United States (almost 220 tons), and Germany (161 tons).

777 tons were exported from Jizzakh region, and in the context of the regions, Surkhandarya and Fergana regions account for the most pepper exports – 1,700 and 1,200 tons, respectively.
