The Committee for the Development of Sericulture and Wool Industry of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with the leadership of China’s Shuixing Home Textile.
Shuixing Home Textile, based in Shanghai Province, is one of China’s top three silk-based consumer goods enterprises with 2,869 stores nationwide.

At the meeting, the leadership of the company noted the high demand in China for Uzbekistan’s silk products and suggested establishing large-scale cooperation in this direction, as well as purchasing a large batch of silk wool. The Chinese side was informed about the enterprises of the Committee for the Development of Sericulture and Wool Industry and the Uzbekipaksanoat Association, as well as the silk products they produce.

During the sericulture season of the current year, 510 thousand boxes of silkworms, 28.3 thousand tons of cocoons will be grown. Of these, silk products will be produced for 3.1 trillion UZS, including 1.4 thousand tons of silk wool for 325.7 billion UZS.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed on plans for future cooperation.
