A meeting was organized on the initiative of the national coordinator of the Horizon Europe program with the support of the Global Service Facility of the European Commission and the Delegation of the European Union to Uzbekistan.
The conference, held at Tashkent State Technical University, was attended by over 100 scientists and researchers from different regions of the country, representatives of higher education institutions, and experts from the industrial and political sectors.

The first session focused on the Horizon Europe work programs for 2026-2027. The participants made presentations on priority areas of financing, thematic clusters, and mechanisms of international cooperation.
Participation in the Horizon Europe program not only offers financial opportunities but also represents a significant strategic step towards integration into the European research space.
The European Union’s representatives emphasized the inclusive principles of international cooperation and noted that researchers from Uzbekistan and Central Asian countries can participate in Horizon Europe projects and receive the necessary funding.

During the event, the experience of successful international projects was presented, and the increased participation of Uzbekistan’s scientific institutions in international consortia was noted.
