Virtual talks have been held between the leadership of Uzbekistan Textile Industry Association and the Malaysian Textile Manufacturers Association (MTMA).

The parties discussed issues of further development of trade, economic and investment cooperation in the clothing industry.

The Uzbek side presented the export potential of the country’s textile industry, the support provided to manufacturers of textile products and the experience of cooperation with foreign partners in this sphere.

The Malaysian side was invited to attend Uzbekistan Textile Expo to be held on May 27-29.

MTMA President Tan Thian Poh highly appreciated the reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan aimed at increasing the share of finished garments in the export of light industry products and introducing high-tech lines in the industry.
