At the UN Headquarters in New York City, as part of the ECOSOC annual meeting, elections were held for members of the Commission on Science and Technology for Development for 2023-2026.

At the event, Uzbekistan was unanimously elected by acclamation as a member of the Commission on Science and Technology for Development for 2023-2026.

The newly elected states, including Uzbekistan, will join the Commission from January 1, 2023.
