Teams consisting of doctors from 22 countries (among them countries where football is especially developed, like Brazil, Argentina, Germany, England, Mexico) will take part in this prestigious competition, which will be held from June 30 to July 8 in the city of Prague of the Czech Republic.

Team of Uzbekistan, consisting of medical workers operating in hospitals of the country, participates in this competition for the fourth time. Last year in the World Championships in Australia, Uzbekistan’s football players with their worthy participation reached the semi-finals and took the place among the strongest four.

The Ministry of Health and the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan are providing comprehensive assistance to ensure that our doctors and players in the current championships would take a worthy place in the tournament. At the beginning of the year, a qualifying tournament was held with participation of football teams of doctors from all regions of the country. More than 180 doctors participated in the tournament and 26 strongest players were selected for the national team.

In order to prepare the team for the competition, a contract was signed with the coach of the professional football club Bunyodkor Sergey Chagudaev and Denis Karsnichenko. Coaches trained members of the national team four times a week, starting from March. As well as during the organized three training meetings the players underwent thorough physical and technical training.

The ceremony of seeing off football players with participation of the Minister of Health Alisher Shadmanov and Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Makhmadaliyev took place.

At the event, players of the national team consisting of amateur medical workers expressed their gratitude to the organizers for creating the conditions for preparation in the annual traditional championship at a high level and promised to do their best to justify the trust they had shown.
