Uzbekistan develops ultra-secure paper for money printing
The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan has issued a patent for an innovative invention for the production of ultra-secure paper with the addition of natural silk fibers, developed by specialists from the State Unitary Enterprise “Davlat Belgisi”, “Uzbekipaksanoat” and the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry.
According to the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan, this is the only technology in the world. It distinguishes valuable paper from other types since natural silk fibers are added to its protective elements. The paper is impregnated with a fluorescent solution. When illuminated with ultraviolet rays, the silk protein acquires an enhanced dark color, making the paper resistant to counterfeiting.

The technology aroused great interest among specialists from international companies, considered world leaders in producing security documents, particularly banknotes.
