Uzbekistan delegation consisting of heads of sericulture clusters and seed production enterprises led by the Chairman of the Committee for the Development of Sericulture and Wool Industry I. Ergashev visits China.

On the first day of their visit, delegation members visited the Shandong Guangtong Silkworm Pro seed production enterprise in Shandong province. They became familiar with the production, packaging, and storage of seeds.

The delegation also studied the process of nursing silkworms, feeding them, and preparing food.

It is known that this enterprise cooperates with several sericulture clusters in Uzbekistan to supply seeds. During the visit, an agreement was reached to strengthen cooperation further.

In particular, the issues of expanding the partnership with the specified seed-growing enterprise, further developing its activities in Andijan region, increasing production volumes, transferring breeding silkworms of the “elite” and “super-elite” breeds to the enterprise, establishing joint activities in seed production for acclimatization to the conditions of Uzbekistan with Sericulture Research Institute.

On the second day of the visit, representatives of the delegation visited the Jiangsu Susi Silk Company in Jiangsu province. During the familiarization process, the production cycle was thoroughly studied. A meeting was held with representatives of the enterprise. The parties discussed issues of establishing cooperation with sericulture clusters of Uzbekistan, as well as creating a joint foreign venture.
