Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Furkat Sidikov has met with the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, in Doha.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, the parties discussed promising directions for the development of cooperation, noting the presence of significant potential for this in trade, economic, investment, tourism, cultural, humanitarian and other areas.

The sides emphasized the intensification of bilateral political dialogue, as well as a significant increase in cooperation in economic diplomacy.

The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar highly appreciated the large-scale reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan in state and social construction, economic liberalization, improving the business environment and investment climate.

The Qatari side highly appreciated the efforts of Uzbekistan to support the peace process in Afghanistan.
