Delegation of Karshi Institute of Irrigation and Agrotechnology of the National Research University of Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers led by Director Zarip Mukimov visited Israel to study international best practices in the agriculture and water management.
Within the framework of the educational and production program, presentations of the latest drip and rain irrigation technologies, and fertigation technologies, including their experience in Uzbekistan, were organized based on leading Israeli companies in agriculture and water management.
The specialists studied the practice and system of organizing the work of educational institutions in the water engineering and animal husbandry, in particular, meetings were held with professors and teachers of the Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering of the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, as well as with the leadership of the Department of Water Industry Engineering of the Kinneret Academic College and the Kinneret Innovation Center.
Prospects of bilateral interaction, including joint training, training Uzbek students in master's programs, and involvement of Israeli specialists in teaching in Uzbekistan, were discussed. Lectures were held at the International Agricultural Training Center of the MASHAV – Israel’s Agency for International Development.
The delegation members visited livestock farms and got acquainted with the work of dairy farms using modern technologies for keeping and servicing livestock, including veterinary service and forage harvesting.
