Tehran hosted the First International Congress for Women of Influence with the participation of 38 delegations from different parts of the world, IRNA reports.

Uzbekistan was represented at the event by the Chairman of the State Committee for Family and Women Zulaykho Mahkamova, who told the participants about the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan aimed at empowering women, increasing their role in all processes of public administration and development of society.

The second International Congress for Women of Influence will be held in Armenia.
