The delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan is taking part in the 62nd Annual Session of the Asian-Africa Legal Consultative Organization (AALCO) as an observer. The event takes place on September 9-13 in Bangkok, Thailand.
AALCO was founded in 1956 and is an intergovernmental legal advisory organization that includes 48 major countries in Asia and Africa. This structure significantly influences the process of creating international law and forms the foundation of international law in cooperation with the United Nations International Law Commission (ILC), the Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), the Hague Conference on Private International Law (HCCH), and other international organizations.
Current international legal topics such as the law of global trade and investment, environmental protection, sustainable development, and the use of outer space are discussed during the conference.
Uzbekistan delegation provided information on the legal aspects of participation in the international supply chain and entry into the world market. Attention was also focused on environmental protection issues in the context of climate change, rational use of transboundary water resources, and international regulation of space data.
Within the framework of the conference, the Uzbekistan delegation met with AALCO Secretary General Kamalinne Pinitpuvadol, at which prospects for further cooperation between Uzbekistan and the organization were discussed.
