Turkestan, Kazakhstan, hosted the 2nd Turkic Universiade. Uzbekistan delegation won 36 medals – 15 gold, 11 silver, and 10 bronze, and took 1st place in the team event.

Student-athletes from Central Asian countries, Türkiye, and Azerbaijan competed in volleyball, chess, freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling, judo, and table tennis.

More than 70 student-athletes represented the Uzbekistan delegation at the 2nd Turkic Universiade.
