The Uzbekistan delegation participated in the 19th International Standards Olympiad in South Korea. This year, for the first time, Uzbekistan youth participated in this Olympiad together with the Uzbek Agency for Technical Regulation.

According to the agency, students of the Presidential School of Tashkent and the Specialized School named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi defended Uzbekistan’s honor at this competition. The Presidential School team won a gold medal, and students of the Muhammad al-Khwarizmi Specialized School were awarded a silver medal.

The International Standards Olympiad is a prestigious competition held worldwide among schoolchildren. For the first time, the tournament was held in 2014 as an experiment, and since 2015, it has officially been awarded the status of an international Olympiad.
