Uzbekistan delegation reaches important agreements as part of the 21st International Anti-Corruption Conference

The 21st International Anti-Corruption Conference, organized by the Transparency International, took place in Vilnius, Lithuania.

The event was attended by the Uzbekistan delegation, led by the Deputy Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency, Umida Tukhtasheva, with the support of the UNDP.

This year’s conference, which brought together government officials, activists, journalists, civil society, and business representatives from more than 140 countries, was organized under the theme “Confronting Global Threats: Standing Up for Integrity”.

A bilateral meeting was organized between the Uzbekistan delegation and the head of the Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Lithuania as part of the conference. The issue of establishing cooperation and constant exchange of experience between the anti-corruption departments of the two countries was discussed.

Working meetings were held with representatives of Transparency International, Opendata Charter, Open Government, the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, and the anti-corruption agencies of Georgia and Kazakhstan.

Following the talks, cooperation agreements were reached.
