The SATTE Travel Exhibition of South Asian countries is taking place at the Yashobhoomi Expo Center in New Delhi, India.
This exhibition, featuring over 2,000 booths and bringing together over 40,000 participants worldwide, is one of the most significant events in the tourism sector.
The opening ceremony of this international event, which has been held regularly for 32 years, was attended by executives of major companies and representatives of tourism organizations. High-ranking guests shared their views on the potential of the SATTE exhibition and their plans for the future.

At the event, the head of Uzbekistan delegation, Chairman of the Tourism Committee under the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change, Umid Shodiyev, delivered a speech. He addressed various aspects of relations between Uzbekistan and India, including cooperation in the tourism sector:
“Our centuries-old ties, shared history, and rich cultural heritage have deep roots. In particular, our cooperation in tourism helps strengthen this friendship. In this context, Uzbekistan’s participation in this conference presents another opportunity to deepen collaboration”.

This year’s program includes a Leaders’ Summit, a special golf tournament, and the “Atithi” project, organized in partnership with the Services Export Promotion Council.
According to international experts, in addition to showcasing exhibition stands, the global event includes programs seen as bold steps toward driving innovation in the industry and creating new business opportunities.
“Our goal is not only to create a platform for business launches but also to provide industry leaders with the opportunity to explore innovative solutions, leverage growth potential, and establish productive connections that will serve as a foundation for future regular meetings”, said Pallavi Mehra, head of the exhibition group.
At Uzbekistan’s national stand, organized by the Tourism Committee with the support of the country’s Embassy in India, ten major tour operators and agencies are presenting attractive tourism destinations, culturally significant sites, and new infrastructure projects.
