A delegation from the Tashkent City Hokimiyat participated in the Fifth Session of the UN Forum of Mayors 2025, held in Geneva under the theme “Cities Shaping the Future”.

The forum brought together mayors from more than 100 capitals and other cities worldwide to discuss prospects for interregional cooperation, the role of cities, and ways to address key issues of sustainable development.

The discussions focused on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly issues of health and well-being, gender equality, decent work, and economic growth, as well as mechanisms for climate financing and housing development.

As part of the forum, members of the Uzbekistan delegation held a bilateral meeting with Tatiana Molcean, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). The parties discussed areas of cooperation in transport, logistics, and environmental protection.

An agreement was reached to develop a roadmap outlining specific steps to strengthen cooperation.
