A comprehensive fight against bullying is being carried out in many countries of the world, including Uzbekistan. Special programs have been developed, and complex measures are being taken on an ongoing basis to prevent violence against children and adolescents.
Uzbekistan delegation led by the Commissioner for Children’s Rights of the Oliy Majlis visits the United States to study the experience of this country. The delegation includes representatives of the Presidential Administration, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Justice, the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Ministry of Public Education and the Ministry of Finance.

An introductory tour to the Anacostia Senior High School was organized for delegation members, where representatives of various bullying prevention organizations conducted the training. A meeting took place with the Senior Vice President of the American Councils for International Education, Michael Curtis.
Uzbekistan delegation will also hold meetings at the departments of justice, police, education, the Office of Children’s Issues, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, UNICEF, and other organizations. Following the meetings, proposals will be developed for the implementation of an effective fight against violence and harassment of children.
