Uzbekistan delegation holds tourism and cultural events in Saint Petersburg
Uzbekistan delegation, consisting of representatives of ministries and agencies of the country, state institutions and NGOs, prominent figures of culture and art, visited Saint Petersburg.
Uzbekistan delegation, consisting of representatives of ministries and agencies of the country, state institutions and NGOs, prominent figures of culture and art, visited Saint Petersburg.
The delegation held several meetings with representatives of the Saint Petersburg Committee for Tourism Development and the Federal Service for Labour and Employment, in cooperation with the Administration of Saint Petersburg, the Consulate of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as other interested bodies and agencies.
In particular, in Saint Petersburg Tourism Center, a meeting was held between the representative of the State Committee for Tourism Development and the Deputy Director General for Project Development, as well as with Russian tour operators, where a presentation of Uzbekistan’s tourism potential was held.
Following a meeting with the center’s management, it was decided to prepare a Cooperation Agreement in the near future and to work out joint projects. B2B meetings with potential investors of the Meander Restoration and Construction Company were also held here. At the meeting, the foreign side presented projects related to the restoration of monuments, historical buildings, as well as the construction of hotel complexes in Uzbekistan.
In addition, representatives of the State Committee for Tourism Development met with representatives of a large tourism company Aerotour, which over the past 8 months has sent more than 2,000 tourists to Uzbekistan. Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation in development of inbound tourism in Uzbekistan was signed between the State Committee for Tourism Development and the Aerotour.
