Uzbekistan delegation has departed for the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games.

121 athletes from Uzbekistan took part in the games last time. 265 Uzbekistan athletes will attend the games this year.

Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdujabbor Abduvokhidov, Minister for Sports Development Adkham Ikramov, Deputy Minister Shakhrullo Makhmudov, Minister of Culture Ozodbek Nazarbekov, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee Oybek Kasimov, Deputy Chairman of the National Olympic Committee Ravshan Ermatov, Chairman of the National Paralympic Committee Mukhtorkhon Tashkhodjayev, parents of athletes and media representatives saw off the athletes.

The flag-bearer of Uzbekistan, the winner of the World Youth Fencing Championship Zaynab Dayibekova was solemnly presented the flag of Uzbekistan.
