Uzbekistan delegation led by First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhromjon Aloyev took part in the ministerial meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement in Kampala, Uganda.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the event was attended by delegations from more than 100 states, including at the level of heads of foreign affairs agencies and their deputies.
The participants discussed and approved the draft agenda and documents submitted for consideration at the 19th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement.
The head of the Uzbekistan delegation emphasized the need to organize close cooperation within the framework of the Non-Aligned Movement in developing international transport networks and infrastructures and improving economic and financial systems. The importance of mobilizing efforts to develop initiatives for the peaceful resolution of conflicts, strengthening preparedness for natural disasters and emergencies, combating climate change, and protecting the environment was noted.
The event participants also exchanged views on the current aspects of the international agenda.
