Uzbekistan delegation attends the international exhibition Milex 2019 in Belarus
Uzbekistan delegation led by the Deputy Minister of Defense for armament and equipment, Colonel Oybek Ismailov, took part in the IX International Exhibition of Arms and Military Machinery Milex 2019 and the VIII International Conference on Military Technical Cooperation in the Field of Defense and Security.
On May 15-18, Uzbekistan delegation led by the Deputy Minister of Defense for armament and equipment, Colonel Oybek Ismailov, took part in the IX International Exhibition of Arms and Military Machinery Milex 2019 and the VIII International Conference on Military Technical Cooperation in the Field of Defense and Security. The delegation of Uzbekistan also included representatives of the State Committee for Defense Industry.
Military products of companies from different countries were shown at the exhibition.
During the visit, negotiations were held between representatives of Uzbekistan and representatives of companies from different countries. Thus, the delegation of Uzbekistan met with the Chairman of the State Military Industrial Committee of the Republic of Belarus Roman Golovchenko and the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Belarus for Armament, Major General Sergei Simonenko. Following the negotiations agreements were reached on training military personnel of the command engineering and technical staff of Uzbekistan Army at the Academy of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus and organizing technical support at the strategic level in the system of ministries of defense of the two states. The parties also discussed the military repair of weapons and military equipment in the units.
The next meeting was held with representatives of JSC Rosoboronexport. During the negotiations, issues of achieved results in development of military-technical cooperation between the two states were discussed.
As reported by the Press Service of the Ministry of Defense, Uzbekistan delegation also discussed the prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation with representatives of the 558th Aircraft Repair Plant, OJSC 140th Repair Plant, and OJSC Agat of the control system of the Republic of Belarus.
