The Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, UAE, hosted a Global Rail Transport Infrastructure Exhibition and Conference, bringing together leading experts, government officials, and business circles from around the world.

A delegation of Uzbekistan led by Deputy Minister of Transport Jasurbek Choriyev and First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Railways JSC Hikmatilla Rakhmetov attended the event.

In his report at the panel session “Creating International Connectivity: the role of transport and infrastructure in ensuring sustainable development”, Jasurbek Choriyev emphasized that the development of transport infrastructure is an essential factor for sustainable economic growth, social integration, and the expansion of international trade.

The Deputy Minister noted that Uzbekistan attaches special importance to strengthening regional transport connectivity, developing transit corridors, and introducing modern logistics solutions, which contribute to enhancing the country’s role as a key transport hub in Central Asia.

During the visit, the Uzbekistan delegation held talks with representatives of several foreign companies, discussed prospects for cooperation in transport technologies, infrastructure investments, and digital solutions. In addition, the participants visited the expositions of the world’s leading companies, which represented innovations in railway systems, engineering developments, and sustainable transport projects.

The event has become an essential platform for sharing experiences and promoting Uzbekistan’s initiatives to develop a modern, safe, and environmentally sustainable transport system.
