Uzbekistan delegation arrives in Nur-Sultan

Uzbekistan delegation led by Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov arrived in Nur-Sultan to attend the next meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council as an observer country.

President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received the heads of delegations.

Despite the pandemic, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover with the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union in 2021 increased by 30 percent and amounted to $12.8 billion. Systematic and effective work is being carried out with the Eurasian Economic Commission to further increase the volume of trade. Work is being completed between the Government of Uzbekistan and the EAEU to coordinate a joint roadmap. This document covers several specific measures aimed at close cooperation between the relevant authorities of Uzbekistan and the Commission in trade, industry, customs, finance and taxes, as well as energy, technical regulation, circulation of medicines and medical equipment.

Uzbekistan's initiatives on the development of e-commerce, digitalization of trade, cooperation in the project of the Eurasian Agro expert logistics project and the wide use of transport opportunities in the Central Asian region were put forward at the meeting.
