The first meetings were held within the framework of the ongoing group stage in Spain for 25-32 places at the XXV World Women’s Handball Championship.

Uzbekistan national team played its first match of this stage against Iran. The athletes beat their rivals with a score of 37:32.

It should be noted that this is the first victory of Uzbekistan women's handball team at the World Championships. Today Uzbekistan national team members will play with Cameroon. While Iranian athletes will face Angola.

The match between Uzbekistan and Angola will take place on December 13.
