As part of one of the world’s most prestigious mining and geological platforms – PDAC 2026, currently being held in Toronto, the Uzbekistan Day showcased Uzbekistan’s potential in the critical minerals sector to an international audience.
The event, organized under the leadership of the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan, presented the country’s geological potential, investment attractiveness, and its industrial model based on the full Mine – Metal – Market value chain to representatives of the global community.
The event was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to the United States, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, officials of the Uzbekistan Technological Metals Plant, and international experts.

Uzbekistan Day drew strong interest from representatives of the global mining and metallurgical industry. The event brought together nearly 200 representatives of companies and institutions, including AtkinsRéalis, AGT Systems NA, Xcalibur, Global Mining Capital Corp, the United States Geological Survey, and representatives of the European Commission responsible for critical raw materials policy.

During the event, large-scale reforms being implemented in the country, the development of new deposits, promising projects focused on the deep processing of rare and technological metals, and initiatives aimed at expanding international cooperation were presented.

In addition, the Uzbekistan Technological Metals Plant signed a memorandum with the Canadian company OMAD International Inc. to attract investment and develop industrial cooperation. Furthermore, an agreement was reached with Erdenes IT LLC, envisaging the establishment of technoparks, the implementation of joint research initiatives, and cooperation in the fields of mining, geology, and international marketing.
