The President of Uzbekistan has signed a decree “On the consistent continuation of the reforms carried out in the healthcare system and the creation of necessary conditions for increasing the potential of medical workers”.
According to the document, it is envisaged to allocate 10 thousand staffs of paramedics to family medical centers and family polyclinics starting July 1, 2021, and starting January 1, 2022, an additional 10 thousand staffs of paramedics to establish the work of medical teams, as well as enhance the coverage of the population with better qualitative medical services in the district (city) multidisciplinary central polyclinics.
By August 1, the system of training and advanced training of nurses should be updated and fully implemented starting the 2021/2022 academic year. It is planned to involve the World Health Organization and foreign experts.
The Fund for supporting and attracting gifted and qualified medical specialists to medical institutions will be opened at the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan.
