According to the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, a memorandum was signed between the University of International Tourism and Cultural Heritage in Samarkand and the Northwest University in China.

It was noted that the document specifies goals for the development of cooperation, the establishment of an academic bridge for the unhindered mobility of students and teachers of universities in Uzbekistan and China.

The signing of the document was held within the framework of the 120th anniversary of Northwest University. The document is aimed at creating a Chinese-Uzbekistan joint scientific and technological laboratory of archeology and protection of cultural heritage between the University of International Tourism and Cultural Heritage in Samarkand and the Northwest University in China.
