A delegation from the People’s Republic of China, led by the country’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan, Yu Jun, visited the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.

At a meeting with Senate Chairperson Tanzila Narbayeva, it was emphasized that multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and China has reached the level of a strategic partnership. 

The discussion highlighted the consistent expansion of interregional ties. Additionally, issues related to further developing dialogue between local representative bodies of the two countries were addressed.

The parties agreed to expand cooperation in economy, investment, education, culture, and tourism and enhance interparliamentary contacts. 

An exchange of views also took place regarding the participation of a Chinese parliamentary delegation in the 150th anniversary assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, which will be held in Tashkent from April 5 to 9, 2025.
