Uzbekistan – China: Results of Cooperation
17:51 / 2024-01-23

Uzbekistan – China joint venture in the form of Huaxin Cement LLC for the production of cement products started operating in Jizzakh region’s Zafarobod district four years ago.

We visited the enterprise, accompanied by the company’s leadership. He noted that the Huaxin Cement was formed in China 100 years ago.

The joint venture in Uzbekistan can be considered a vivid example of friendship and cooperation between the two peoples. The study of the Uzbek language by Chinese people working here and the Chinese language by Uzbeks testifies to mutual agreement and understanding. The operator of the laser installation Jasur Mavlonov agreed to be a translator.

The construction of the joint venture’s production line began in April 2019. The project’s investments amounted to $150 million.

The production line was activated in June 2020, and a month later, cement began to be supplied to the market.

The total area of the enterprise is 71 hectares. There is a laboratory, a central control and management department, a raw material crushing workshop, a mechanical workshop, a boiler room, and warehouses for packaging and storage of products. There is also a 300-seat dining room where Uzbek and Chinese dishes are prepared, an administrative building, and a dormitory with all amenities for 150 people. Laboratory staff use computers to check the composition of lime, clinker, clay, and other products used to produce cement. The production of products at a temperature of 1200-1300 degrees, their packaging, and placement in warehouses – are controlled by the central control and management department operators. Cement delivery to consumers is also monitored. In total, 360 Uzbeks and 70 Chinese people work here. Uzbek people have mastered all the processes well and occupy high technical positions. This plays a vital role in the development of the enterprise.

“28 Uzbek and 6 Chinese specialists are engaged in computer quality control of products”, says Mirjalol Abdusattorov, an employee of the joint venture. “We produce cement grades 400 and 500. Employees are constantly improving their skills. Recently, we studied at a cement manufacturing plant in Tajikistan”.

At the Huaxin Cement, we witnessed the mutual friendship and close-knit work of Uzbek and Chinese youth and wished everyone that friendly relations and cooperation would strengthen.
