“Uzbekistan – China: Cooperation within the SCO”

A photo exhibition titled “Uzbekistan – China: Cooperation within the SCO” was organized at the Tashkent House of Photography of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan.

This creative project was jointly organized by the Uzbekistan National News Agency (UzA), the Fergana Regional Branch of the Union of Journalists of Uzbekistan, the editorial offices of the “Farg‘ona Haqiqati” – “Ferganskaya Pravda” newspapers, and the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Uzbekistan.

At the opening of the photo exhibition, Senator Abdusaid Kuchimov, Director General of the Uzbekistan National News Agency (UzA), Yu Jun, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Uzbekistan, Senator Khusan Ermatov, Editor-in-Chief of the “Ishonch” – “Ishonch-Doveriye” newspapers, Professor Sherzodkhon Qudratkhodja, Rector of the University of Journalism and Mass Communications of Uzbekistan, Kholmurod Salimov, Acting Chairman of the Union of Journalists of Uzbekistan, and Muhammadjon Obidov, Honored Journalist of Uzbekistan, emphasized that economic, political, cultural, educational, social, and humanitarian ties between Uzbekistan and China are steadily strengthening.

It should be noted that, thanks to the political will of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, great attention is being paid to establishing equal, mutually respectful, and trustworthy good-neighborly relations with various countries around the world. In this regard, in particular, the elevation of activities within the SCO to a new stage has become an essential factor in strengthening Uzbekistan’s position on the international stage.

Representatives of the media, especially journalists and photo correspondents of Uzbekistan, are actively participating in the implementation of joint programs. They not only cover official SCO meetings, summits, and forums, but also provide broad and in-depth analytical coverage of the economic relations of the member states of this prestigious organization.

It should be noted that photography is considered the seal of an era. The media materials covering the cooperation between Uzbekistan and China within the framework of the SCO are significant in that they will remain in history and serve as an invaluable source for years and generations to come.

For the exhibition and competition titled “Uzbekistan – China: Cooperation within the SCO”, more than 500 photographs were submitted by photographers from Uzbekistan. Of these, 94 were selected by the jury members and included in the exhibition display.

This photo exhibition is significant not only for showcasing Uzbekistan’s unprecedented bold steps in the field of international cooperation and foreign policy, but also for providing a detailed presentation of Uzbekistan – China cooperation within the SCO framework.

At the event, photojournalists whose works were recognized as the best in the competition were awarded.

The exhibition will run for one week.
