In this regard, on May 20, a spiritual and enlightenment event was held in Tashkent. Representatives of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to Uzbekistan, Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies, Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages and Confucius Institutes at these institutions of higher education, the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages, the China Cultural Center, students attended the event.

Currently, the Uzbek language is taught at China’s Central University of Nationalities and Beijing Foreign Studies University. There is a separate department of the Uzbek language at Shanghai International Studies University, which is one of the prestigious educational and academic institutions of China.

Confucius Institutes, first established in Central Asia in Tashkent and Samarkand, acquaint our compatriots with the Chinese language and culture. In addition, modern educational centers for the Chinese language are organized in higher education institutions of Uzbekistan.

The final stage of the international student competition “Chinese Bridge” in Uzbekistan was held within the framework of the event. The competition was won by a student of Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies Akbar Tursunov, he got the opportunity to take part in the competition “Chinese Bridge”, to be held in China.
