Uzbekistan’s team defeated Russia, China, India, Iran, Ukraine, Hungary, Poland and Moldova in nine rounds, but lost to the USA with a small score.
Nodirbek Yakubboyev, Nodirbek Abdusattorov, Javokhir Sindarov, Shamsiddin Vokhidov and Sitora Saparova defended the honor of Uzbekistan in this tournament, which was attended by 250 chess players from 39 countries of the world.
Nodirbek Yakubboyev and Shamsiddin Vokhidov won gold medals.
Russia, Iran, Azerbaijan, India, the USA and Armenia took subsequent places after the national team of Uzbekistan.
