Uzbekistan celebrates World Intellectual Property Day
Tashkent hosted a session on the issues of intellectual property within the framework of “Tashkent Law Spring” International Law Forum, at the International Business Center.
Tashkent hosted a session on the issues of intellectual property within the framework of “Tashkent Law Spring” International Law Forum, at the International Business Center.
The event, organized by the Intellectual Property Agency and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan, was attended by local and international experts, specialists of ministries and various institutions.
Local and foreign experts shared their views and experiences in the field of intellectual property.

Following the session, winners of competitions announced at the beginning of 2019 were awarded. These are competitions for receiving the WIPO medal “For Invention” and the prize “The best organization in intellectual property”, as well as Best IP 2019 competition “For the best intellectual property object” held by the Agency to determine and award the best intellectual property object.
WIPO Medals “For Invention” was awarded to Jurayev Anvar, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry, who is the author of the patented 274 inventions and utility models.

The WIPO Award in the nomination “The best organization in intellectual property” was awarded to the Institute of the Chemistry of Plant Substances named after Academician S.Y.Yunusov.
Winners of Best IP 2019 were also announced. Bakhtiyor Yokubov, teacher at Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent is among them.
Winners were presented with diplomas and memorable gifts.
