Uzbekistan Writers Union, the National Guard and the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment held a joint festive event “The heirs of Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur”, on the occasion of the 540th anniversary of the famous poet and commander.

At the event, held at the monument to the poet on the Alley of Writers, the participants spoke about the significance of the resolution of the Head of state “On the wide celebration of the 540th anniversary of the great poet and scientist, outstanding statesman Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur’s birth” of January 25, 2023.

The event began with the laying of wreaths at the Monument to Babur with the participation of the public and the performance of the cavalry troops of the University of Public Security of the Republic of Uzbekistan, who embodied the image of the poet-commander and his warriors.

Chairman of Writers Union, People’s Poet of Uzbekistan Sirojiddin Sayyid spoke in detail about the difficult life path, the unique work of the great ancestor.

The ensemble “Alvon Beretlar” of the University of Public Security performed songs based on Babur’s verses. Members of Uzbekistan Writers Union, students of Tashkent State University of the Uzbek Language and Literature named after Alisher Navoi and the Academy of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan read excerpts from the poet’s works.
