June 27 – Press and Mass Media Workers Day

On the occasion of this date, the Creative Union of Journalists of Uzbekistan organized a festive event in Tashkent.

It was attended by journalists working in various media, publishers, professors, teachers of journalism faculties, and honorary creative workers.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s congratulatory message to the press and mass media workers was read out by the Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Presidential Press Secretary Sherzod Asadov.

The Resolution of the Head of the state “On measures to support the media and develop journalism” of June 27 this year opens up new opportunities for the implementation of the Development Strategy of New Uzbekistan for 2022-2026, as well as strengthening the protection of the legitimate interests of the media and comprehensive support for their activities. Such opportunities require representatives of the media to be more active, objective, and honest than ever in the renewal process taking place in the country.

The participants of the event enjoyed a concert program with the participation of masters of art and creative youth.
