Over 20 companies from Irkutsk region and Uzbekistan took part in the exchange of contacts, which took place as part of an international business mission of Uzbekistan in Angara region, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Eastern Siberia reports.
The event was organized with the financial support of the Ministry of Economic Development and Industry of Irkutsk region as part of the International Cooperation and Export project. The organizer is the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Eastern Siberia. The business mission aims to search for partners in Irkutsk to supply building materials.

“Uzbekistan is one of the most important partners for us”, says Marina Petrova, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Industry of Irkutsk region. – In 2022 and for the first quarter of 2023, the volume of exports from our region to Uzbekistan increased two and a half times. Having started actively interacting last year, we conducted two business missions. We will continue developing the agreements that will be outlined during the following dialogues, one of which is scheduled for June. Establishing closer ties, looking for better solutions to optimize logistics costs, and finding new market niches are necessary.
VIP-IN-CON LLC (wholesale of building materials), UzLITI Engineering LLC (integrated design of enterprises in the fuel, energy, and chemical industries, social infrastructure facilities), and Alex-Yasin Ecology LLC (wholesale supplies of building materials and equipment to Uzbekistan, logistics services in Central Asia) participated in talks to find partners for the import of building materials. Interest in exporting to Uzbekistan was shown by companies providing solutions and services for the disposal of oily soils and waste, engaged in the production of electrical equipment and trailers for construction and agriculture, the supply of mining and processing equipment, construction, installation, and commissioning.


Director General of INTOP PRO (Irkutsk) Konstantin Sadovsky and Director of VIP-IN-CON LLC (Uzbekistan) Nikita Tarasenko signed a contract to supply products. The first company is engaged in the supply of materials for industrial concrete floors, polymer coatings, and waterproofing, and the second – in the wholesale of various building materials.
Uzbekistan delegation also visited the Irkutsk ceramic factory and the Pulp-Nord Group of Companies production site.


Meetings of businesspeople from Uzbekistan and Irkutsk region are held not for the first time. In June last year, entrepreneurs from Irkutsk visited Uzbekistan. The return visit took place in October. Soon, an Irkutsk manufacturer of test strips for glucometers entered the Uzbek market with its products.
