Uzbekistan business delegation visited Turkmenistan
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan jointly with the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Ashgabat organized a visit of business circles of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan jointly with the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Ashgabat organized a visit of business circles of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan. The delegation was led by the CCI Deputy Chairman U.Butayev.
Within the framework of the visit, meetings were organized with representatives of ministries and agencies of Turkmenistan interested in cooperation with companies engaged in production of construction products, electrical engineering, energy, agriculture and other industries.
At B2G meetings, prospects for further development of Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan trade and economic cooperation were discussed, views were exchanged on activation of partnership between the enterprises of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
As reported by the Press Service of Uzbekistan CCI, in 2017 the trade turnover between the countries amounted to $177.3 million, and in the first quarter of 2018 it increased by 55%.
There are 11 enterprises with participation of Turkmen capital in Uzbekistan, 2 enterprises with Uzbek capital have been established in Turkmenistan.
At B2B meetings, the sides discussed possibilities of exporting Uzbekistan products to Turkmenistan’s market.
