A videoconference was organized on “Prospects for cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus in tourism”.
According to the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the meeting was attended by officials of the territorial main departments of this ministry, representatives of the Ministry of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus, as well as experts from non-governmental non-profit organizations operating in the tourism sector of the two countries.
At the event, the main attention was paid to the tourism potential of Uzbekistan, the development of tourism in the country, state support for the private sector during a pandemic. The parties also discussed the conditions created for the reception of tourists, the development of tourism infrastructure, logistics and diversification of services.
Director of the Minsk Tourist Information Center A. Rusakevich and the Deputy Director of the Tourism Industry of the Republic of Belarus D. Morozova delivered speeches on new opportunities for cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus and expressed their readiness to establish cooperation in tourism and joint promotion of tourism potential of the two countries.
The need for the development of a detailed marketing system and the establishment of regular B2B meetings between the tourism business of the two countries was emphasized.
Following the videoconference, the parties agreed to actively support the Uzbek and Belarusian tourism business in the development of cooperation in tourism, as well as to increase the tourist flow, resume and expand air transportation, establish a regular dialogue between tourism organizations and implement joint projects.
