11:47 / 2023-12-01

As part of the 2nd Global Forum of Interparliamentary Cooperation in Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals in Tashkent, a meeting was held between the Chairperson of the Senate Tanzila Narbayeva and the Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Valery Belsky.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects of relations between Uzbekistan and Belarus, particularly issues of strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation and developing ties between regions.

It was noted that representatives of the business community of the countries, including women entrepreneurs, are today implementing mutually beneficial projects.

At the same time, the business forum of women entrepreneurs has become an effective platform for discussing and developing new proposals to strengthen trade and economic ties.

It was noted that it is necessary to unite efforts in their legal support while establishing effective parliamentary control over the implementation of high-level agreements in economics, trade, and industry.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed on mutual support for initiatives within parliamentary structures.
